havenHi folks,
Members of GigEvent and Mixtape are going to Haiti in April to help build some houses with the Haven Partnership. Haven’s first Build it Week for 2010 begins on April 25th. Before we can go we need your help so that we can build the houses.

As we all know Haiti has been devastated by one of the worst catastrophes in living memory. The emergency surpasses that caused by the Asian tsunami, according to the UN. Haiti is now facing one of the worst humanitarian crisis in decades. At Mixtape and GigEvent we want to volunteer with Haven

If you would rather donate by cash or cheque/draft/postal order please contact us at haitiappeal@mixtape.ie

The Cobalt Cafe situated on North Great George’s Street, in Dublin, is a pleasant and cosy cafe. Once a month it host the eclectic and atmospheric mix of performance arts put on by Nighthawks. There are many names you know and many you will soon know that perform music, comedy and spoken word at the monthly concert. Thursdays will see a new episode featuring a different performer from one of the Nighthawks events at the Cobalt Cafe.

Mr. Pengy is a cartoon fanatic and incidentally a cartoon himself. Developed from the mind of a creative genius, Mr. Pengy has spent the most recent part of his existence learning his roots. Asking himself the age old question “Who am I and why am I here?” Mr. Pengy‘s long quest for meaning has seen him dive deep into the annals of cartoon history and every Wednesday will be delivering you an important piece of animated history in Mr. Pengy’s Classic Toons.

Our long running series Holy Joe’s Infernal Cabaret will now be taking up residency on Mixtape on Tuesdays. We have a big line up of some of the top unsigned bands around in store for you in 2010 so pop back to Mixtape every Tuesday for new episodes.
